Lea Michele's Dress In Fashion Style

Let's play pretend, okay? Close your eyes (actually don't, because you'll need them to read this), and imagine a short prom dress that's the same teal-blue velvet as that hand-me-down couch you shared with three roommates your junior year of college. Think of a strapless bodice that sits really high on the armpits, peaks to two sharp corners just under the collarbone, and cuts deep to form a cleavage-baring "V." Its skirt has a super high slit on one side with a sarong-style twist made of that same Madonna Inn couch fabric. Got something in mind? Does it look exactly like what your sister wore short prom dresses to prom in 1984?

Lea Michele's Dress

You're wrong. And, it turns out Lea Michele and her stylist have better imaginations than all of us, because the Cushnie et Ochs frock she wore to the American Horror Story: Freak Show series premiere was stunningly elegant (and not in the way your sister described her aforementioned dress back in the day). While each design element is slightly off-kilter, the combination is utterly harmonious — with the perfect proportions of skimpy to demure, form-fitting to frowsy, and classic to wacky (not to mention, those silver sandals and VC Signature glass clutch perfectly complement it, too). It's a prom dresses that many women may skip over for something less weird, but we're glad to see that Michele was fearless enough to step up to the challenge. Sorry sis, but this one deserves the crown.

Millions may have been tuning in to see the latest twists and turns on The X Factor, but Lauren Silverman was putting on her own show as she stepped out on Saturday night.
Usually happy to let her superstar partner Simon Cowell grab the limelight, the 36-year-old was the one who made a dazzling appearance at the Shooting Star Chase charity ball at London's Dorchester Hotel.
Lauren - mother of Simon's son Eric - led the way in the glamour stakes at the black tie event, where a host of stars had gathered to help raise funds for the children's hospice.

She looked stunning in a floor-length burgundy fishtail prom dresses uk, complimented perfectly by simple jewellery and her hair neatly pinned back.
Meanwhile, the X Factor honcho stayed true to form and sported his go-to uniform of unbuttoned white shirt and tailored trousers.

Other guests who gathered at the event included Simon's close confidante Sinitta, who wore a sheer embellished blue prom dresses 2014, and former Celebrity Big Brother star Luisa Zissman, who wowed in black gown with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high split.
TV presenter Chris Tarrant was also among the glitzy revellers.

Hollywood legend Joan Collins ensured she returned to the UK to attend the event due to her role as a patron for the hospice, which helps over 600 families with terminally-ill children.
To get proceedings off with a bang during the ball's charity auction, generous Joan whipped off one of her diamond rings from her own finger and put it under the hammer.
And it appears the Dynasty star's donation got the ball rolling on a big night - the event raised a whopping £173,000.

As part of the evening, attendees were treated to performances by Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley and former X Factor contestant-turned-charttopper Ella Henderson.

The money will go towards the running of the organisation, which costs a staggering £23,000-per-day to run. Services are provided year round for free.

Traditional Japanese Wedding Ceremonies

wedding dress comes from Japanese

This kind of wedding dress comes from Japanese. Traditional Japanese wedding customs or shinzen shiki is composed of an elaborate ceremony at a Shinto shrine. The Japanese bride may be painted pure white from head to toe as a declaration of her maiden status to the gods and her attire consists of an extravagant kimono, heavy make-up, a wig, and a head covering. Two choices of headgear exist: the wataboshi, a white hood; and atsunokakushi which serves to hide the bride's "horns of jealousy" and symbolizes her intention to become a gentle and obedient wife.

Modern and Fairy Weddings

I never had the opportunity to go to my Prom, but I have def thought about how I would do it. The variety of colors, the different beading, and the unique silhouettes made it impossible to choose a fave. I want to make sure all you have a flawless prom experience, so try some of these tips when choosing your prom dress.
Comfort: what do you want to do the last thing constantly put all night. . . .Or, your clothes.Make sure you choose a style, you can dance night without risk.Shock is a confident woman.I think this dress fun and relaxing.
Color: Unfortunately Prom is before beach season (unless you live in LA, hehe), so most of you won’t have the time to get that natural glow, so opt for a color that highlights your natural beauty and accents your features. Not everyone can pull off the season’s hottest neon colors, so I suggest the next best thing, Pastels! Blonde, Brunette, or Red-head, these colors look great on everyone. Ineedtodress has the perfect pastel shades. Love these ones:
Cut: Everyone is shaped differently, so certain silhouettes can look better than others. Fortunately, there are so many to choose semi formal dresses, mermaid like this one

A Shrewsbury wedding shop owner is celebrating

A Shrewsbury wedding shop owner is celebrating after striking gold thanks to her many satisfied customers.

Shrewsbury wedding shop owner wins golden wedding accolade

Heavenly Brides and Belles, which is based in the town’s busy Pride Hill Shopping Centre, is the only Shropshire business to have gained a gold award on a national website.

The weddingspot.co.uk award is calculated from the number of top reviews a business receives from satisfied customers with no fewer than 15 needed to earn a coveted gold award. Suzanne Heavens, who opened Heavenly Brides and Belles just under two years ago, says she is delighted so many of her customers have taken time out to review the service they received on the popular wedding planning website.

She said: “I couldn’t be more pleased the way things have gone since I started my business. And to have the service I offer recognised by so many satisfied customers is absolutely brilliant.

“I do have a lot of Shropshire brides who come to me when planning their big day but I have also looked after brides who travelled from as far away as Oxford and Aberystwyth. “I’m really pleased people are prepared to travel so far to allow me the privilege of advising and supplying that special gown for their wedding day. ”

Suzanne, 32, of Wenlock Road, Shrewsbury who is mum to four-year-old daughter Bethany, said: “Starting up on your own is a big step but I made sure I had the right advice and having spent nearly five years managing a successful bridal shop, which gave me plenty of experience, I knew what I was doing was going to be hard but rewarding work.

“When I opened Heavenly Brides and Belles I sold all sorts of other dresses, such as prom and ball gowns, but I decided it was better to concentrate purely on short wedding dresses and bridal accessories and I think that has paid off as I have expanded my range of wedding gowns to include a made to order collection from Lincoln based designer ‘Brides By Harvee. ”

She added: “Anything goes these days when it comes to weddings and I have a couple of customers who have purchased wedding dresses online that are a little bit different. One bride is going to get married abroad while another one is getting married outdoors in a rather unusual place. “I can’t say too much as the weddings haven’t taken place yet and I have to respect the bride’s wishes to keep things under wraps!”

And Suzanne says it’s her dream job. She just loves helping blushing brides find the right gown as there is something special and romantic about weddings. She said: “I have always got lots of ideas and I’m also a good listener. Once you’ve found someone their dream dress it’s just such a great feeling. Buying a wedding dress, not just any dress but the right dress, is so important to a bride and it’s massively rewarding seeing it come right.

Kevin Lockwood, Manager of the Darwin, Pride Hill and Riverside Shopping Centres, said: “We’re always delighted to hear any success stories relating to stores within our shopping centres. Suzanne has done particularly well and receiving a gold standard award on a national website is fantastic.

“It is, of course, particularly pleasing that the gold award is a direct result of reviews from satisfied customers and of course we are delighted to hear that Heavenly Brides and Belles is attracting customers from as far afield as Oxford and Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury.

“Her business illustrates the strength of the Shrewsbury Shopping Centres because we have a fantastic mix of the big high street names and innovative and specialist independents like Suzanne. ”

Push yourself to success

If you like to exercise, you may have read a lot of articles about the latest scientific studies on the best workout routines. High-intensity interval training is all the rage at the moment. There are also seven-minute and 20-minute workouts that promise results in just a short period of time.

But what is the best workout routine for you? Daniel Duane, a Men’s Journal editor, recently wrote in The New York Times that there are in fact no cutting-edge scientific studies on workout routines. Duane talked to Martin Gibala, an exercise physiologist at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, who said there’s not a lot of research money out there to fund applied studies. On matters as simple as how many sets and reps best promote muscle growth, Gibala explained, “We can’t nail down the answer.”

lifestyle

Physiologists do research, but they only study questions of basic science, like the relationship between protein and muscle adaptation.

Simple principle

Of course, physiologists are not the problem. The problem, according to Duane, is that everybody in the fitness industry uses basic science and then twists the results to come up with something that sounds like a scientific recommendation for whatever they’re selling.

Few personal trainers or gym coaches teach their clients to train independently by showing them basic barbell lifts and telling them to add weight each time. Instead, they invent confusing routines, so the clients never leave them.

The truth about the best workout routine is simple, says Duane. The human body is an adaptation machine. If you force it to do something a little harder than it has done recently, it will respond — afterward, while you rest — by changing enough to be able to do that new hard task more competently next time. This is known as the progressive *overload principle. All athletic training uses this principle through small, steady increases in weight, speed, or distance.

So if you run, run an extra 50 meters or a bit faster the next time. If you lift weight, add a half-kilo weight during the next workout. Always push yourself to your limits and you will be surprised at how strong you can become.
