She spent the day at a photocall for new television
series The Royals at MIPCOM in Cannes, France, on Monday and later that
evening, Elizabeth Hurley attended the premiere of the show.
Dressed to kill in a peach boob tube dress which had
sequin embellishments throughout, the actress dazzled as she walked down
the red carpet.
She carried a cute little gold clutch bag and polished off the look with a pair of strappy Jimmy Choo shoes in the same hue.
Hurley has been channelling red carpet glamour ever since she stepped out in that famous Versace safety pin dress in 1994.
Whether she's on her way to a red carpet event or just
popping out to shops, Elizabeth Hurley rarely has a hair on her head
out of place when she steps out in public.
But that was not the case on Monday afternoon when the wet weather in Cannes completely destroyed her red carpet look.
Taking to Instagram to post the after effects of the
rain, the 49-year-old appeared disheveled as she sported panda eyes and
damp hair.
Posing against the backdrop of her hotel room, Hurley
stood in a white robe as her white hair shielded part of her face in the
selfie.
But of course, her signature pout remained in place as she posed for her snap.
Clearly unimpressed with the rain, the caption that
accompanied the image read: 'And.....it's time for hair & make up.
Again..'
Despite not being her picture perfect best, the upload to the photo-sharing site received rave compliments from her followers.
One person commented: 'So so pretty' while another wrote: 'Absolute natural beauty!'
Earlier in the day, Hurley looked incredible in a
low-cut bodycon dress in a soft shade of orange, which she teamed with
nude heels.
She wore her dip-dyed brunette locks down in loose curls and highlighted her features with smoky eye make-up.
MIPCOM, the international film and programme market
for TV, video, cable and satellite is held from October 13 to 16 on the
French Riviera.
Elizabeth plays the Queen in the comedy spoof in the upcoming E! series.
Also starring in the show is The Chronicles of Narnia
actor William Moseley alongside Tom Austen, Haley Lu Richardson,
Alexandra Park, and Jim Paddock.
Speaking recently about her role in the
highly-anticipated show, E!'s first ever scripted series, which explores
a fictional British monarchy, Liz told the Associated Press:
‘There's no correlation at all between Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth and my Queen Helena. If Princess Diana, for example, had
become queen of England, that would be a more similar age group.'
Adding: 'The royal family have a lot more privacy
behind their closed doors than other actors or politicians have because
we don't have the resources that they have to keep us private,' she
mused.
Hurley is thought to be newly single after splitting
from multi-millionaire former banker – and close friend of the Royals –
David Yarrow, 48 - after a six-month relationship.
‘Yes, I was on her arm for a while earlier in the
year, but so what?’ said photographer David at the Spears Book Awards
last week, before adding: 'We remain great chums.'
